Eastbourne & County Community Tranport (E&CCT) was established on
1 April 1992 to provide accessible, affordable transport to individuals from Eastbourne and south Wealdon who were unable to use conventional forms of transport. In addition, the organisation provides a centalised transport resource for all local not-for profit community organisations in its area.E&CCT operates 7 days per week throughout the year providing its clients
with trips to shops, theatres, clubs, clinics, etc., as well as outings and holidays. Bookings can be made between 08.00-17.00 hours, Mondays to Fridays. Contact John Levett, David Woolgar or Diana Lelliot on 01323 412448.Since the early days, E&CCT has grown substantially, employing 10 staff (including 2 MiDAS trainers), 13 volunteers and operating 8 modern, accessible vehicles to provide in excess of 2000 passenger journeys every week. In addition to Dial-a-Ride services in Eastbourne, E&CCT operates the Peacehaven Taxi Rider, the Handy Rider service in the Anderida villages and the North Lewes Dial-a Ride service, all subsidised by East Sussex County Council. In addition, it provides school bus services in Ninfield, Willingdon, Peacehaven, Eastbourne, Pevensey and Westham, and group hire facilities for community groups throughout the western half of East Sussex.
