BACT is a registered charity and a Company limited by Guarantee. We are run entirely by trained volunteers to provide a public transport service for Battle and its surrounding villages. Funding is provided by East Sussex County Council, the Rural Development Commission and Battle Town Council, with financial assistance from a number of smaller donors.

Our vehicle is purpose-built and can carry 16 passengers. There is a lift so that passengers in wheelchairs can be carried. Journeys where seats need to be removed to accommodate wheelchairs must be pre-booked by telephoning 01424 772001 at least 24 hours prior to the journey.

The bus can divert to pick up passengers with mobility difficulties who live up to half a mile off route. Ring 01424 772001 at least 24 hours prior to travel.

When the vehicle is not on scheduled service, it may be hired by local voluntary organisations, schools, etc. Ring 01424 772001 for details.
